Orion "Outdoor"

Conceived to experience open-air spaces with compositional freedom, this outdoor seating system is composed of layered volumes and gently inclined linear surfaces that create an elegant, contemporary presence within the landscape. It evokes the configurations of constellations, where distinct elements are arranged in patterns defined by orthogonal and oblique axes.

Modularity and configurations

Orion Outdoor takes shape from a rich repertoire of polygonal modules - rectangular, square, and trapezoidal - making it possible to compose ever-changing configurations that adapt naturally to both domestic settings and open-air Hospitality environments.

Materials and finishes

The design of the system balances geometric rigour and perceptual softness. The low, generous seating creates a direct connection with its surroundings, while the interplay of surfaces introduces a visual rhythm that makes the configuration dynamic and light.

The identity of the project emerges in the large seat cushions, characterised by converging stitching that enhances their graphic presence. The backrest, simply placed, supports the horizontal reading of the layout and is finished with tone-on-tone double stitching in an envelope design.

The compositional concept draws inspiration from John Lautner's architectural research, in which elements relate as independent yet interconnected structures. Steel feet, also available in a varnished finish, lift the volumes off the ground, reinforcing a sense of lightness and suspension. The Orion Outdoor family is completed with freestanding travertine coffee tables, available in different tones, which can be placed between the seats or in front of the sofa as material accents that enhance the connection with the outdoor space.
